Dancehall Duo Andrew & Wada Blood Split

Recording artistes and brothers Andrew and Wada Blood have decided to split. Both artistes are instead deciding to pursue solo careers.

Wada Blood confirmed to THE STAR that there was no bad blood or animosity between the two, but that they were trying something new and different.

“It’s not like we came together and decided on it. We just are pursuing solo careers. Life is a journey and we each have our own path to trod, so he’s working on some solo projects and I’m doing the same,” Wada Blood said.

The duo, who are the sons of Junior ‘One Blood’ Reid, have been working together for more than five years. They rose to fame with songs such as Hustle Til the Day, Irie and It’s My Time.

“A me brother same way and a straight love same way, but dis is just growth for us. He has his way he wants to do things and I have mine,” Wada went on to say.

He also added that when he told their father that they would be pursuing solo careers, he gave them his blessings.

“Whatever we decide to do, he always gives us his blessings and give us the go-ahead. It’s not like me and Andrew have any beef or that we aren’t speaking, we’re just focusing on our own career right now and that’s all there is to it.”

In the meantime, Wada stated that he will be releasing a new single with his younger brother Juju Blood titled Where We From in the upcoming weeks. Other new singles to follow include Mama and Money Haffi Mek.

“Fans can just look out for new singles and new videos. Is the same vibes, energy and flow but wid a likkle difference,” Wada Blood said.
