Magano and friends for Plug ‘n’ Play

The popular Friday evening jam session, Plug ‘n’ Play, presents conscious vibes and smooth connections on October 21 as rising reggae acts, Guidance and Magano will be joined by a host of talented friends at the Wyndham Hotel’s Jonkanoo Lounge in New Kingston.

Plug ‘n’ Play has evolved into the trendiest weekend hot spot for good quality live music, and one of the unique things about this event is that focus is as much about the musicians as it is about the artistes. Claiming comparable spotlight is the Krucial band, led by renowned bass player, Delroy ‘Worm’ Nevin, of the now defunct Blaze band.

“Plug ‘n’ Play is a musical feast in every sense of the word and we have a great show lined up,” assured Worm, who is also a producer and has steered the careers of quite a few young acts from his home parish, St Thomas.
“Many of these acts are young, upcoming and eager to represent. They should be considered reggae’s future and they need encouragement, guidance and support,” he declared.

Both Guidance and Magano, the headliners for the event, have been deliberately carving out their personal spaces musically and are earning the respect of their peers and their growing fans base. Magano has been impacting radio with the single, Never Be Your Child, while Guidance and his Brown Brothers stablemate, Ico Flamez are getting attention with their collaboration, By The Window.

Other artistes on the October 21 event include Ico Flamez, Highest, Javante, Natural-I, Boukie, Ms Niiqqii Li, Real Steele, I-Shane, Termus, and Face Dadda.
