Trinidad & Tobago-Based Gospel Reggae Artist Positive Celebrates Music and Mission Trinidad
New York, NY – Trinidad & Tobago-based Gospel reggae Artist Joel “Positive” Murray celebrates his music and mission in a Gospel extravaganza titled Chapter 7 – Blessing After Blessing on November 9, 2013 in Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad. Aided by other local Gospel greats including Isaac Blackman, Rizon, Sean Daniel and J Prince, this exclusive musical showcase will be backed by The Signature Band and breaks ground as the first ever Gospel all-inclusive, as attendees will be able to enjoy local libations provided by food caterers as they bear witness to the ministry of music from Positive and friends.
This showcase serves as an introduction of Trinidad’s Gospel music industry to media, government officials, the business sector and advertising industry, and fans alike, all of whom will be in attendance. Gaining international media attention with his current album Forever My King, Positive will be joined by Billboard Magazine journalist Patricia Meschino, who will be journeying to Trinidad for this auspicious occassion. Meschino regularly brings Caribbean music news to the international audience via the world’s top music publication and with the success of Forever My King, has expressed interest in the artist and the Caribbean Gospel music movement. “Reggae-gospel is huge throughout the Caribbean and Positive is one of the genre’s leading lights,” states Meschino. “I have enjoyed his recordings and I look forward to seeing his performance at Trinidad’s first Gospel fete!”
Chapter 7 – Blessing After Blessing has special meaning to the artist and the architect of this concept-driven event. “I believe 7 represents the number of completion and after 7 years of ministry, I began reflecting on how God has transformed my life and my music over the years and I instantly became overwhelmed with gratitude, ” reveals Positive. “I strongly feel as though I am accomplishing my purpose for this season of my life, feeling a sense of wholeness in Him.”
Positive has been enjoying a prolific year, which was fueled with the release of his sophomore album, Forever My King, during last holiday season. The album has sold over 2000 physical copies, a huge accomplishment for any Caribbean release, and has sustained consistent digital sales each month, to date. His latest single from that album, “Let Me Be The One” featuring Nikki Rymple, recently scored a coveted premiere on music’s premier digital channel, VEVO, and has racked up over 8,500 views worldwide, thus far.
Currently back in the studio, Positive is gearing up to release a deluxe version of the album for the New Year and kicks it off with the first single “Blessing After Blessing,” which was produced by Precision Productions and will be released on all digital retailers in November 2013. The new track also provided the theme and title for the Gospel fete. “This occasion gave birth to the theme song of the event ‘Blessing After Blessing,’” Positive discloses. “I believe that this will be an opportunity to not only lift up the name of Jesus but a time where we can have interactions with one another in a positive atmosphere. The Blessing of The Lord has really been my source of strength and I just want to share the moment with my family, friends, supporters and key industry personnel.”
Chapter 7 – Blessing After Blessing will indeed be an event to remember as it sets the stage for Positive’s first ever live-DVD recording, offers up delicious food and showcases great music.
