Tifa Delivers In New York and Set To Release New Medley Video
After being named one of FADER Magazine’s top 25 artistes in the world to watch and listed among the top 10 greatest female deejays by LargeUp.com, dancehall diva Tifa was in top form on her recent sojourn to the U.S East Coast.
Fresh from a pair of performances at the Garage in Bronx and Compound Entertainment Complex in Queens, New York the Queens leg of the stint headlined by her alongside Grammy Award winners Morgan Heritage saw the ‘Big Bumper’ singer pulling out all the stops as she delivered another noteworthy set to the amalgamated audience comprising predominantly of North Americans and Caribbean nationals.
Unraveling the classic interspersed with samplings of her newer material, Tifa donning an all-black leather ensemble got the nod of approval very early into her set from the appreciative audience. The culmination of her 30-minutes presentation encompassing renditions of ‘If I Could Fly’ ‘Walk Away From Love’ and ‘Love Me Please’ by Yvonne Elliman paved the way for Morgan Heritage who amped the night’s proceedings another notch.
Back on local soil the Digicel and Bigga brand ambassador wasted no time in enlisting the services of noted production house RD Studios to shoot a medley video for the buzz-worthy singles ‘Big Bumper’ and ‘The Champ’. The official visuals are expected to premier later this month via a major international medium.
Commenting on her new singles and recent upsurge in popularity Tifa in statement to the media said,
“Since the start of the year I have released six new singles, the response so far has been tremendously positive especially for ‘Big Bumper’ and ‘The Champ’ which prompted me to shoot a video because radio and the streets are already showing a lot of love therefore the next step naturally is to take it to television.”
“I am very comfortable with the team from RD Studios they know how best to capture my vision and so the fans can expect another amazing video upon completion.” – a seemingly jocund Tifa added.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, April 5th while in attendance at the launch of the Food For The Poor 5K Run/Walk, Tifa was named one of its ambassadors. The second staging of the Food For the Poor 5K Run/Walk race will take place on Saturday, May 7, to raise funds for the construction of approximately 100 houses, it was announced at Tuesday’s launch at the Spanish Court Hotel in New Kingston.
