Gospel Singer Sandra Brooks Celebrates 25
Gospel singer Sandra Brooks celebrates 25 years in the business and to mark this accomplishment the singer will be embarking on a tour which will see her performing across North America.
Brooks who came to national attention after placing third in Teen Star Search and with it earning the attention of The Grace Thrillers has not looked back.
In fact she has gone from strength to strength, both a powerful minister of God and as an artiste.
In 1994 she released her first album Don t Worry, four years later in 1998 her second album The Answer superseded the sales of her debut album propelled by soul stirrers such as the title track, Down on my Knees, Did You Stop To Pray, Road is Rough, Dont Worry and Forward Forward With Jesus.
After 25 years Brooks remain vibrant, relevant and still committed to her faith.
I can t live any other life, I don t know how to live in the world, said Brooks who first embraced Christ as her Saviour at age 12.
Brooks tour will officially kick off in middle April and will see her making stops in Canada, The Cayman Island, and in the States.
She is presently completing an album produced by Sidney Thorpe which will see singing some favourite hymns.
Commenting on her doing the treasured classics she said the state of the world now, people need that kind of sanity right now. People in the music industry need to get back to God as their real source. I am a bible believing Christian I hate no man but I hate the sins that we commit and anything contrary to the bible I detest, she said.
Brooks is also writing her autobiography which she says should be completed before the end of the year.
