Chronixx Shares New Dance Video for “Likes” & Gears Up for Homecoming Shows in Jamaica This Weekend

Following his GRAMMY & MOBO nomination for his debut Chronology and his recognition on Rolling Stone‘s 2017 Best Albums List, Chronixx finally returns to Jamaica this weekend for two homecoming shows in support of his release.

Tonight (Dec. 1) he will perform the album for the first time in Kingston to a sold out crowd of fans and in Montego Bay tomorrow (Dec. 2). Protoje will join both concerts. Tonight’s show will be available here via live stream.

To celebrate his island’s culture, Chronixx also drops the official dance video for his hit dancehall single “Likes.” The visual features Ravers Claver’s dance crew out of Jamaica and Chronixx’s Zincefence Redemption band percussionist Hector “Roots” Lewis.

2017 has been impactful for the 25-year-old Rasta. At the start of the year, Chronixx landed a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the second time and an international campaign as the face of Adidas Spezial Spring 2017 line – all in preparation for his first full-length album Chronology. Chronology has remained on the U.S. Billboard’s Top 10 Reggae Album chart for 20 consecutive weeks (peaking at #1) since its release in July. The album has received critical acclaim across the board (Rolling Stone, GQ, NPR, Pitchfork, NY Times & Bilboard) and has been nominated for a GRAMMY and MOBO Award. He and his band Zincfence Redemption toured their biggest headlining tour to date —covering major cities across the U.S, Canada, Japan, France, England, Israel and The Caribbean — and opened for Ms. Lauryn Hill and Nas on their North American run this fall.

In 2018, he will begin his Australia Chronology Tour and continue to drop new visuals off the Chronology album.
