CALYPSO ROSE’ Meet & Greet

The promoters behind AGAPE Promotions & Productions would like to extend an EXCLUSIVE invitation to an intimate meet & greet event with the undisputed Calypso Queen of Trinidad & Tobago, Calypso Rose, on Friday March 30th at Agape Restaurant & Event Center from 7-9pm.

The musical success of Calypso Rose has been a monumental step in putting the Caribbean on the map. She was most recently featured on a PBS documentary entitled ‘Lioness of the Jungle’. But, this is just one of many tributes to her achievements. She is well known in the calypso fraternity as being one of the pioneer female artiste’s to break the glass ceiling in a male-dominated industry. Back in 1978, she became the first of her gender to win the coveted ‘Calypso King’ crown. Organizers of the annual championship were obliged to change the title to ‘Calypso Monarch’, and Rose went on to win the prestigious event for five consecutive years. Since then the Tobago born singer has carried her unique, husky, up-tempo music around the world. We look forward to your presence in welcoming this cultural icon to the city of Atlanta.
