U.S. Summer Tour – Morgan Heritage – Kicks Off July 31 in Los Angeles
Morgan Heritage, one of contemporary reggae’s most powerful forces, announce U.S. and Canada tour dates in support of their first studio album in five years ‘Here Come The Kings.’ The sibling quintet, known worldwide for their riveting live performances, is currently rocking major stage shows across Europe and will wrap in London at the O2 Academy on July 21. The North American leg of the Here Come The Kings Tour will kick off in Los Angeles on July 31 and see Morgan Heritage perform in almost 20 cities in less than one month.
The group’s latest creation ‘Here Come The Kings’ (VP Records, June 11) is currently #1 on South Florida’s reggae chart. Filled with brilliant instrumentation and empowering lyrics, the 12-track set explores new sounds that successfully fuse roots, r&b, and a hint of dancehall ¬– evident on the album’s first single “Perfect Love Song.”
“Perfect Love Song” continues to gain worldwide recognition. This week, the single lands the #1 position in Jamaica on the Richie B Countdown and on UK’s Choice FM’s reggae chart for the second week in a row. The explosive hit continues to ride to the top off Caribbean charts in Trinidad, Barbados, Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, St. Croix, St. Maarten and Tortola. The anthem, which debuted at #1 on iTunes Japan Reggae chart, is also picking up steam on U.S. radio with spins on New York City’s HOT 97, San Francisco’s 106 KMEL and Miami’s HOT 105. EBONY exclusively premiered the video and raved that “with so much of the turmoil and negativity in the world trickling down to music, this really is the perfect love song.”
