Rum Rumble at Caribbean Week in New York
It promises to be the social event that will be talked about long after it’s over. The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) will lift spirits and warm souls at the remarkable and exclusive Tribeca 360 in Manhattan when it hosts Rum & Rhythm on Friday 8 June 2012.
This signature Caribbean Week in New York event will take guests on an enchanting journey that will encapsulate the vibrant cultures, eclectic cuisines, pulsating rhythms and quintessential experiences that make the Caribbean the most desirable warm weather destination.
Guests will be exposed to the varied rums of the Caribbean, as well as the talents and artistic flair of some of the Caribbean’s award winning musicians, chefs and mixologists. This exclusive and memorable evening will also include a live auction and special appearances by top Caribbean personalities and celebrities.
An exciting addition to the Rum & Rhythm programme is the Rum Rumble: Battle of the Mixologists. It’s a cocktail recipe contest featuring local bartenders competing for the title of Best Caribbean Rum Cocktail. The preliminaries, sponsored by the Anguilla Tourist Board, The Barbados Tourism Authority, The Curacao Tourist Board and the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago, will precede Rum & Rhythm. However, the two finalists will vie for the title at the event.
