Rising Dancehall Artist "Lavaah Goodaz" To Star In "Star Boy" Animated Short Film
U.S.A, Jamaica – Spearheaded by Jamaican filmmaker Stephen Williamson, Big Bomb Films will be releasing a 10 minutes animation short film based on the best seller Star Boy series. The short film is slated to be released in the latter part of August 2013.
The short animated film will feature Jamaican born rising dancehall artist Lavaah Goodaz as the voice of “Star Boy” main character Tania Watson. Lavaah Goodaz received recognition when she released “Barefoot” a counteraction to Lady Saw’s hit single “Heels” and her single “I’m In Love”. Acting comes second nature to Lavaah as she always had a passion for the craft, although the model turned singer admits “after exploring with music I found a new desire”. The role of Tania’s love interest, the “Star Boy” Brian Lane is in the midst of being cast in Jamaica.
About Lavaah Goodaz:
Born in Kingston, Jamaica on April 20 passionately watching and imitating entertainers such as Halle Berry, Beres Hammond, Lady Saw, and Tanya Stephens so it was no surprise that she naturally grew to be a diverse and talented entertainer in her own right. Lavaah was determined at a tender age that her success would pave the way for her family and at six-teen she began her modeling career.
While she gained valuable experience ultimately her curvaceous five foot two voluptuous frame proved quite a challenge in the modeling industry. Never discouraged Lavaah decided to turn to her love of song writing and performing. “One day I decided I’m going to write a song and after a few weeks I had almost a dozen songs written and it was then that I knew I would pursue my career as a Reggae artist.” She created the name Lavaah Goodaz, which stands for “Hot Goodness” because she is HOT and GOOD!!!
She is currently promoting her first reggae CD titled: As GOODAZ It Gets Pt.1, a versatile combination of original and “cover” material released October 2011 having already sold close to One Thousand Units independently; Lavaah is anxious and excited preparing for her first upcoming tour starting on May 4th, 2012 on the It Buck Tour.
