Breaking Barriers! Toronto’s Tha Vor is International!

Toronto’s Tha Vor is in a celebratory mood as his music is breaking barriers, reaching international status thanks to his performance on the Sneak Preview Riddim produced by Claims Records and Gutty Bling Records.

His unique style, a combination of Hip Hop and Dancehall is reminiscent of the days of one of his idols KRS-One, yet modern in delivery, connecting with the flavor his fans like to hear. Never straying from his conscious beliefs in the teachings of Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie, these messages are always present in Tha Vor’s recordings.

The Sneak Preview riddim, released this year, features an impressive artistic line up including Beenie Man, Sean Paul and Elephant Man. Tha Vor is the only Canadian on the riddim with the song “Time So Dread,” and, producers were so pleased with his voice, they sampled his customized vocal riff which is heard in the introduction to each song on the riddim.

“I feel I am truly blessed to have been a part of this project. Knowing that the riddim is being embraced and played around the world, and knowing that I am a part of the introduction and have a song on the riddim is a double blessing,” said Tha Vor when reached by phone in Toronto.

The artist has several projects set to be released in the coming months including a Mixtape and additional singles. He will also be performing in Toronto with noted artists.
