New EP From Soca Star Debuts Worldwide Today,
February 26, 2013

Trinidadian singer/songwriter Darryl “Farmer NappyHenry returns with his unique brand of soca for the masses with his new EP, Mischief, available in stores and online today, February 26, 2013.  This is the follow up to his critically-acclaimed album, You Make Me…Surrender,’ which was released one year ago. The Mischief EP presents the true essence of Trinidad’s carnival season, which culminated a week ago today.

“After the wonderful reception of my last album, I was encouraged to go into the studio and work and create, and I’m very proud to bring my new music to the fans,” states Farmer Nappy. “This EP is a sample of what soca lovers enjoyed during Trinidad’s recent Carnival season, so now it’s only fitting to bring it to the rest of the world.”

Fusing calypso, kaiso, ragga, soca, reggae and dancehall tones, the sounds of Farmer Nappy always journey beyond carnival circles and Mischief plays the same tune. The EP leads off with “Stranger,” which was Farmer’s most-played track this season, propelling him into finals of the 2013 International Groovy Soca Monarch competition, held in Trinidad earlier this month. His singles “Minglin’” and “Drunk” also racked up massive fanfare during the season and continue to enjoy regular airplay on soca-format programming, across the Caribbean.  Certified party anthems “Ah Find Mehself Dey” and “Stranger (The Road Mix)” round out the five-track offering, keeping fans satisfied year-round. Producers on the EP include soca’s top hitmakers Precision Productions from Trinidad and De Red Boyz from Barbados, granting Farmer Nappy Caribbean fusion at its best.

Farmer Nappy cultivated a global fan base by touring extensively for over two decades and bringing the sounds of mas to the masses worldwide. He just performed over 30 shows during Carnival season in Trinidad and is currently lining up gigs in the U.S., Canada and Europe. With his last album embraced by fans and critics alike, and the Mischief EP now extending his global music reach, Farmer Nappy continues his mission of carrying Caribbean music around the world.
