Super Wings NY Winner of the "2012 Best Wings in Brooklyn"
Colette Burnett, winner of the Food Network’s Throw Down with Bobby Flay, and recently crowned the 1st Place Winner “Best Wings in Brooklyn 2012,” after having taken the title in 2010 and 1st Place People’s Choice winner in 2011, has announced the opening of her second Super Wings NY location at 888 Utica Avenue, at the intersection of Church Avenue in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York.
Colette who grew up in Chase Village, Trinidad, WI before moving to the United States spent a decade working as a business banker, before deciding to turn her craving into a business and opened her first Super Wings NY just two years ago on Union Street in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. Super Wings NY serves fresh juices, salads, fish and wings in twelve delicious flavors including Pineapple Jerk, Ginger Buff, and Island BBQ all inspired by Colette’s’ native Trinidad and Tobago where recipes are a tantalizing blend of mainly African, East Indian, Europe, China, Middle East and Mediterranean culinary traditions.
It was the Ginger Buff Wings paired with Super Wings’ signature Lava Sauce, which won the 2012 “The Best Wings In Brooklyn” competition, an annual event where restaurants, bars, and other vendors throughout the borough of Brooklyn showcase their wares before a panel of judges – in a quest for the coveted title of “The Best Wings in Brooklyn.”
