Tad's Record Unveils the Phantom
Kingston, JA/New York – November 2011 : With a finger on the pulse of Reggae’s bustling industry, Tad’s Record introduces a brand new series dedicated to showcasing a variety of Jamaica’s outstanding young hitmakers. The Phantom Series – makes its debut next month with The Phantom Series Vol. I – Various Artists featuring music from Dancehall front-runners Khago, I-Octane, Jah Vinci, and Zamunda. The Phantom Series Vol. I hits digital outlets and retail stores on Friday, December 9th.
The Phantom Series Vol. I – Various Artists features 23 singles including “My Life,” “Burn Dem Bridge,” and “Dem Anuh Don” from I-Octane, who has swept local and international Reggae charts with a flurry of socially conscious Dancehall singles throughout the year. Khago, arguably poised to be one of the genre’s brightest stars in 2012, hits The Phantom with anthems like the local chart topper “Me Blood a Boil,” and his breakthrough hit single “Nah Sell Out.” Talented singer and crafty deejay Jah Vinci shows his dexterity on The Phantom Series Vol. I – Various Artists with the soulful single “In My Life” – which hit #1 on the local charts – and the lyrically sharp “Wah See Me Fall.” Roots Reggae chanter Zamunda also shows off the more soulful side of Reggae with tunes like “Jah Love Surround Me.”
