STREETCRED RELEASE: CLARENDON LIVE HIGHLIGHTS INTERNATIONAL REGGAE DAY – JULY 1
Central Jamaica’s monthly series, Clarendon Live; returns after a one month hiatus, with a strong showcase for International Reggae Day on Friday July 1.
The first Friday live music series, which has become a staple on the Clarendon entertainment calendar, will return to its home venue at Fyahside Jerk and Bar in Toll Gate in Clarendon on July 1. For the International Reggae Day staging, the event offers up a unique live performance from powerful female vocalist Etana as well as a dynamic set from Reggae crooner Duane Stephenson.
“We wanted to give patrons a special treat for International Reggae Day and so we reached out to two talented artistes with great catalogues who don’t get to perform that much here in Jamaica because of constant touring overseas” promoter Joseph Moore of EppJam Promotions shared
Both artistes are known for their signature sounds and poignant lyrics and are excited to grace the stage of the event. Etana’s catalog includes hits such as ‘Wrong Address’, ‘Warrior Love’ and ‘I Am Not Afraid’ while Duane, the former To-Isis front-man, is known for hits such as: ‘Cottage In Negril’, ‘Ghetto Pain’, ‘August Town’ and ‘Cool Runnings’.
“It’s great to be able to celebrate International Reggae day in Jamaica performing for fans in Clarendon. I urge everyone to come out and hear your favorite Etana track, plus some new music from me as well; it’s going to be a blessing!” Etana shared
Patrons may purchase presold tickets at Fyah Side or at Banton Gym in May Pen. For all updates and information on the live series follow the event on all social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and twitter @clarendonlive.
