With more than 30 bold-faced names in Caribbean music expected to perform, the historic benefit concert Caribbean Love Now JAMATHON is set to take place at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, Jamaica on November 22, 2017.

“The idea that we had to help the people affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria has galvanized everyone in the music industry. We now have an incredibly inspiring movement, and given the heightened level of interest, we knew we had to up the ante. That’s why we are now going be at the National Indoor Sports Arena, Kingston’s best venue for the kind of production we want to deliver,” said Joe Bogdanovich founder of Caribbean Love Now.

He noted that the change in venue was only made possible with the support of the Hon Olivia Grange, Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. “There is no doubt that Minister Grange has a very sharp instinct for kind of work we want to do with Caribbean Love Now and the impact this concert event can have globally. We appreciate her contribution in helping to make this happen,” Mr Bogdanovich said.

Some of the best-known performers in reggae, gospel, dancehall, and soca have signed on for the benefit concert from which proceeds will go directly to the people of countries affected by the hurricanes. The complete line up is Assassin, Beenie Man, Blvck H3ro, Beres Hammond, Bunji Garlin, Bunny Wailer, Carlene Davis, Chi-Ching Ching, Chino McGregor,  Christopher Martin, D-Major, Devin Di Dakta, Etana, Fay-Ann Lyons, Freddie  McGregor, Harry Toddler, Iba Mahr, Jah Cure, J-Boog, Jesse Royal, Kevin Downswell, Naomi Cowan, Nesbeth, Protoje,  Raging Fyah, Romain Virgo, Sizzla, Sean Paul, Stephen McGregor, Tarrus Riley, Third World, Tommy Lee Sparta, Toots & The Maytals and Vegas, backed by the All-Star Reggae Band led by Dean Fraser. Tommy Cowan, Miss Kitty, Nikki Z and Pretty Boy Floyd will host the concert.

“The line up can only be described as magical. There is never going to be another night where all these performers share the same stage. I am deeply grateful that not only have the artists answered the call but by doing so they prove that the Caribbean takes care our own,” said Mr. Bogdanovich.
