DJ Still Life Remixes Schlachthofbronx's Warm Weather Anthem "Apizaco"

“Apizaco” is a highlight of Schlachthofbronx’s album Dirty Dancing, released last year on Mad Decent. Lead by a stirring string sample, the track conjures images of breezy relaxation in a Tropical setting. Brooklyn DJ / producer DJ Still Life keeps the main sample front and center, dropping the tempo to a halftime feel for a feel good dance track that packs a punch.

The Munich-based duo has announced a spring-themed video contest for the original version of “Apizaco,” with submissions open until May 9th.

DJ Still Life is a Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and radio show host. The weekly radio show he produces for East Village Radio show focuses on electronic music and hip-hop, with regular deviations into modern world music and record nerdery. His debut vinyl release “Try Otra Vez” (an unofficial Aaliyah remix over a digital cumbia backing track) was released in 2011 on BSTRD BOOTS. A stream of remixes and original tracks have been made available via his soundcloud since then.
