Teenage Canadian Singer Lucas DiPasquale Premieres New Single “DO IT LIKE” Featuring Konshens, Kardinal O and Stylo G
LUCAS DIPASQUALE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “DO IT LIKE” FEAT. STYLO G, KARDINAL O AND KONSHENS
Teenage Canadian singer Lucas DiPasquale began turning heads last year when he uploaded his remarkable acoustic mash-up of hits (Road Affi Tek On, Ravin and Only Man She Want) by Dancehall artist Popcaan.
The video (which had over 150,000 views in a month on YouTube) gained love worldwide as renowned US music magazine FADER instantly picked it up, UK DJ’s Ras Kwame and Seani B raved about Lucas and artists Kano and Krept and Konan tweeted the video out to their network of fans.
With such genuine support for Lucas it was only a matter of time before he became appreciated at the birthplace of Dancehall music, Jamaica. With the Jamaica Observer covering the video, radio stations Nationwide 90 FM and Timeline and popular Jamaican TV program Onstage TV interviewing him. Popcaan then tweeting the mash-up biggin up Lucas then inviting him over to Jamaica to perform at the big 2014 Jamaica Dream Weekend event with him in front of thousands.
Lucas then unveiled another sensational acoustic mash-up consisting once again of Popcaan, plus two new additions – fellow Canadian native Drake and Dancehall superstar Sean Paul, then being picked up by the likes of MTV & SBTV. In this video, Lucas shows off his pinpoint-accurate Patois again covering Popcaan’s Everything Nice, Drake & UK singer/songwriter Sampha’s hit The Motion and Sean Paul’s worldwide smash Like Glue.
Lucas returned to Jamaica in 2015 and recorded music for his upcoming debut EP with Stephen McGregor, played an acoustic session at the legendary Tuff Gong studios, appeared on Onstage TV once again and filmed a video for his upcoming single “Do It Like” (featuring Kardinal Offishall, Stylo G & Konshens) in the streets of downtown Kingston.
The single ‘Do It Like” produced by Mojam & Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor will be released early June 2015 and has already received support from MistaJam on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Ras Kwame on Capital Xtra after it’s premiere by Dancehall veteran Seani B.
