ONE MIC 'the Artistic Movement' Returns November 18th 2013 @ Milk River
New York, New York – Within the past year One Mic, the Artistic Movement have showcased live unplug (acoustic) entertainment with some of Jamaica’s most talented artists; such as Christopher Martin, Anthony B, and Etana. One Mic, the Artistic Movement (NY edition) returns with I-Wayne and Kabaka Pyramid.
On Monday, November 28th I-Wayne, billboard chart topping reggae artist has not performed in Brooklyn, New York for several years and have not performed on an acoustic set in New York for over five years, is set to show the fans a different side of I-Wayne.
“We never stop burn the fire, and at One Mic we will bring the hits and fans favorite as well as give them a little piece of something new from I-Wayne. Its an early show and I will be performing my full set so come out early.” says I-Wayne.
One Mic, the Artistic Movement is officially one years old and have decided to step it up a notch and add an additional artist. One Mic is always looking for the artist that will WOW the audience and open patrons eyes and have them leaving the venue saying “what a great performance and a great event”.
Kabaka Pyramid, one of the hottest rising reggae acts from out of Jamaica right now is also on this event. For the first time Kabaka Pyramid will perform in Brooklyn, NY with live accompaniment and for the first time he will be in the NY area making his press and media rounds.
One Mic, the Artistic Movement on Monday, November 18th will be held at Milk River, which is located on 960 Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn, NY. The newly opened classy and trendy venue has an ambiance for live music with excellent staging and lighting.
On Monday, November 18th, I-Wayne and Kabaka Pyramid will take the time out to produce a special set performance, which will resonate with the audience as something different and provide them with an opportunity to see the artist with less “frills” stripped of all the extra “stuff”.
One Mic, is not only a great platform for the artist to shine, but is also a great platform for the audience to ask questions and get to know what were some inspirations behind the artist career and musical journey.
