Steele Set To Headline Bob Marley Birthday Bash.
The month of February holds significance for several reasons, for one it’s the month dedicated to black history, and secondly it’s the birth month of Reggae’s greatest star Bob Marley, born Robert Nesta Marley.
Many events are usually planned around these times, and one such event will be held in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday February 9th 2013.
Prominent radio host George Barrett will once again present his annual Bob Marley Birthday Day Bash. This year will be the 26th installment, and Canada’s most prolific reggae artist Steele will headline.
Steele’s version of Slave Driver, a Bob Marley original has received rave reviews by many in the industry, including reggae historian Rogers Steffens, who gave it his vote of confidence. Steffens commented that Steele delivers this song with such great confidence and conviction.
Come Saturday February 9th, the two times JUNO nominee and multiple reggae award winner will return to Van City to deliver Slave Driver plus many more of Bob’s music to what is expected to be a full house. The artist will also use this platform as his official Vancouver Cd Release party for his 4th studio Cd “REALITY”.
Other artist scheduled to perform includes Vancouver’s own Ras Nikhinesh and the Natural Flavas band.
George Barrett himself along with Louie Sutherland will keep the party rocking on the turn tables.
