Foundation reggae singer, George Nooks, has taken another classic and put his signature spin on it.
The song, an original Bee Gees classic entitled In The Morning, was recorded on a rhythm of the same name produced by the New York-based DPhil Productions label.
Commenting on the song Nooks said, “I’ve always enjoyed doing covers of great classics and Bees Gees happen to be a favourite group of mine.”
So when his friend Phillip ‘Fatter One’ Thompson of DPhil linked him about doing a song on the rhythm, it just seemed natural to select something from Bee Gees.
“I’ve known Fatter for a while and he always wanted us to work together. But nothing happens before its time,” said Nooks of the producer.
Other artistes featured on the In The Morning rhythm include Luciano, Uprising Roots Band and Sluggy Ranks.
With over two decades of experience under his belt, music producer Phillip Thompson, made the decision to elevate his musical career to yet another level by sitting at the helm of his own company, DPhil Productions.
A producer and recording engineer who has worked with some of the greatest producers in the industry, DPhil Productions has linked with a talented team of musicians
and is ready to unleash a slew of singles, including never-before-heard recordings from late singers Dennis Brown and Sugar Minott.
