Smoke Season Unleash Psychedelic Video For "Bees"

Smoke Season Unleash Psychedelic Video For Their Single, “Bees”
Indie-electronic Duo Drop Trippy New Music Video

Los Angeles, CA – The indie electro-Americana act, Smoke Season just released a stunningly, psychedelic music video for their latest single, “Bees.” They combine a spellbinding myriad of kaleidoscopic footage, custom-created neon light installations, and natural topography, continuing their breathtaking music video imagery that has become Smoke Season’s signature trademark. “Bees” is available for download on iTunes and currently streaming on YouTube.

The single’s effortlessly sensual and hypnotically rhythmic undertones are only further enhanced by the spellbinding visuals of the music video. In line with the DIY identity that has become a part of Smoke Season’s brand, the pair constructed a one-of-a-kind honeycomb LED light installation for the shoot. The video also showcases projection mapping across an array of stunning settings – including the ocean, mountains and canyons – blurring the line between the beauty in nature and the man-made. The resulting combination makes “Bees” their most psychedelic and experimental video yet.

The music video was directed by Scott Fleishman of APLUSFILMZ; a team notably known for their VMA nomination (SchoolBoy Q) and their work with Kendrick Lamar, Talib Kweli and Murs. Fleishman also directed Smoke Season’s previous videos for “Badlands” and “Opaque.”

Smoke Season’s broke through with their sophomore EP release, Hot Coals Cold Souls EP, with notable singles, “Badlands” and “Opaque”. To date, the EP has accumulated over 2.5 million plays on Spotify – a number that continues to grow.

Among their accolades, Smoke Season has been named AXS TV’s #1 LA Breakout Band of 2014, “Artist of the Month” by The Deli Magazine, “Hot 100 Artists of the Year” by Music Connection Magazine and have been featured in LA Record, LA Weekly, Los Angeles Magazine, Buzznet, and featured on Buzzfeed’s “11 Up and Coming Independent Musicians Making a Name For Themselves”. Notable performances include the Sundance Film Festival, CMJ 2014, Noise Pop 2015, Brokechella 2015, and San Diego CityFest. They have sold out shows at LA’s El Rey Theater, The Chapel in San Francisco, The Glass House in Pomona and more.
