Reggae & Dancehall Group "Don Dem" Nominated for Several Slash Multi Media Awards

Toronto, Canada – Rising Reggae and Dancehall group Don Dem has been nominated for Dancehall Artist Of The Year, Video Of The Year for Blind To Them, Best Collaboration for How Dem A Live featuring Ras Demo and and a nod to Don Dem’s member “Bob da Builda” nominated for Fashionable Male Of The Year at the Slash Multi Media Awards in Toronto, Canada.

The multi talented group of the 5 members group of Durri “The Scientist” Brown, Kez Ferguson, Kirk “Diamond” Douglas, Chaunard “Bob da Builda” Brown and Olaf “HD” will also perform a medley of hits at the event.

Commenting on their nomination, group member Kirk “Diamond” stated “We are happy and humbled by the nominations. Feels great to be recognized for the work we’ve put in throughout the past year”, in regards to the performance added “The performance is still being put together. With this being our first performance in Toronto in over a year we will be sure to make it entertaining.”

To say that 2013 has been a whirlwind for the group would be an understatement, they have released their debut video “Blind To Them” to rave reviews and garnered over 40 thousand views to date, had the honor of being being featured on MTV.com, released a mixtape, debuted their web reality series “Life Of A Don” and recently released their brand new single “Need Your Love” on itunes via 21st Hapilos Digital.

Hosted by comedian Cedric Newman, the Slash Multi Media Awards will take place Sunday, October 20th in Toronto, Canada. Slash Multi Media Awards recognizes and encourages local talents, and gives affirmation to outstanding businesses and community pillars for their contribution to community development.
