Exco Levi Strives to Juno Nomination for Best Reggae Recording 2014

“Strive” was produced by Silly Walks Discotheque and features guest vocals from fellow Reggae revivalist Kabaka Pyramid. The song is performed with encouraging lyrics, telling listeners to keep their faith as they go through difficult times in their lives.

This years Juno nomination (the Canadian equivalent to a Grammy) marks Exco’s 3rd nomination since 2011. The 43rd annual awards ceremony will be held from Monday March 24th to Sunday March 30th, 2014 in Winnipeg and celebrates the best musicians in Canada.

When notified about his nomination, Exco said “I am proud of this nomination … Wow! I thank CARAS and the fans for sharing my music and the positive message in the song. I also thank Kabaka and Silly Walks for making this song a truly great one!”

For Jamaica’s Kabaka Pyramid, this marks his first co-nomination for a Juno Award, and second for Germany’s Silly Walks Discotheque.

Additional nominees in the 2014 category for Best Reggae Recording include Ammoye “Baby It’s You.”
