4 Days of Holistic Entertainment to Engage All the Senses at Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival

Miami, Florida – The 3rd Annual Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival of Music, Art & Dance presents 4-Days of holistic entertainment to engage all of the senses, February 20th-23rd, 2014. Oriented as a ‘lifestyle festival’, in addition to a solid musical foundation of over 50 bands from around the world, the Festival’s Zen Village and Healing Arts Area host numerous wellness workshops and services by practitioners of many healing modalities. Festival organizers create a relaxed, family-friendly environment for arts celebration, wellness practice, community building, and cross-cultural exchange on the beautiful beaches of The Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.

The Virginia Key GrassRoots Festival is honored to partner with the Zen Village of Coconut Grove to host the Healing Arts Area, Tea House, daily movement and wellness workshops, and services offered by healers of a variety of modalities, all set in a lovely shaded grove along the water. Festival organizers welcome you to come and allow yourself to set adrift in this relaxing healing current.

Each day of the Festival, The Zen Village and Tea House host Tea Ceremonies, incense and prayer offering, blessing puja, personal prayer beading, Chinese high tea, and protection puja. Throughout the weekend they also host a variety of special events including meditation for beginners, healing drumming, Zen living workshop, and Dr. Love QiGong workshop. Their Zen Tea Ceremonies are hosted by Master Chufei Tsai, who has three decades of tea experience in educating people on using their five senses to bring peace and openness to one’s life.

An abundance of Yoga and other movement workshops also take place each day. Highlights include MC Yogi Workshop (Sunday Feb 23rd 2:30-4pm), Vinyasa Yoga, Tibetan Healing Yoga, Tai Chi, Tensegrity, Vinyasa Yoga with Afrobeta, Laughter Yoga, Hooping Workshops, Dance for Universal Peace and Morning group meditation practice. The Healing Arts Area will be open from 10am-6pm daily with Reflexology, Shaitsu, Deep Tissue Massage, Yoga Massage, Thai Massage, Reiki, Prana Healing, Singing Bowls Sound Healing Meditation and more offered.
