Showers of blessing all day Saturday had little effect on the overwhelming support showed by patrons who attended the official launch event of Jermaine Edwards’ fifth studio album on Saturday night.

Performing to an almost packed house at 65 Waltham Park Road, Jermaine noted his surprise that in spite of the constant showers the audience came out to celebrate another achievement and blessing with his ‘Don’t Count Me Out’ project.

With support from acts represented on the album, his family, friends, sponsors and hardworking team, Jermaine delivered an inspiring and energetic show to kick-start the first of two weekends of album launch events.

With a professional sound, band outfit and laser lighting display, Jermaine kept true to the standard that is represented on the album itself; well produced, professional and with great attention to detail.

The event was hosted by Comedian Dwight Ross and Love 101 Radio Personality, Nadine Blair and also featured performances from Digicel Rising Stars 2013 winner Verlando Small, Rondell Positive, I Worship and Pastor Roma. Resounding words were also delivered from Representatives from Love 101’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Annoleah Wynter and Sponsorship Manager at Digicel, Tahnida Nunes.

“Jermaine has been a part of the Digicel family for more than four years now. In that time, we have watched him grow and today, we are happy to be celebrating with him as he marks another milestone in his life and his career. His album, “Don’t Count Me Out” most definitely shows Jermaine’s maturity as an artiste, and more importantly, it shows the maturity in his ministry. It has gone to another level and we are so proud of him.” Tahnida remarked

Jermaine’s Father, Pastor Rowan Edwards, the leader of Light House Assembly in St Catherine congratulated his son on his achievement and blessed the Album as it is released around the world.

Jermaine interjected words and some testimony throughout his performance of the new material from the ‘Don’t Count me Out’ Album, sharing his challenges and his overcoming so much to get to where he is now with his ministry.

He closed the night’s event by inviting all members of his team who has worked on the album thus far on stage, thanking them for their overwhelming support.

The album launch events continue this Weekend in Montego Bay and Sav-la-Mar at the Open Bible Churches on Friday and Sunday Respectively.

The Album ‘Don’t Count me Out’ is now available digitally and in select stores locally such as Music Mart in Kingston, , La Vega Pharmacy in Spanish Town and Body and Soul in Mandeville.

  • Precision Productions, Fryktion Music, and Lil’ Bitts are about to make that “Booty Bounce”!

Precision Productions, Fryktion Music, and Lil’ Bitts are about to make that “Booty Bounce”!

After the triumphant rebranding of her image and entertainment persona, Lil’ Bitts is punching forward and keeping her momentum flowing with a strong second release.

It starts with a reckless beat; the sort that rumbles into the soul warping your spine to follow an unforgivable rhythm, whose blatantly destructive nature twists and tangles your limbs and loin without mercy.

Any resistance is futile, as this blistering beat will make that “Booty Bounce”!

Fryktion Music and Precision Productions have created this scandalous music, which was then peppered with unrepentant lyrics composed by Jovan James of Futuristic Jams and Clayton Wong of Nebula868.

Expect havoc to be wreaked once this track hits the airwaves, since there is clearly just one single, solitary way for bumpers to respond to it…very very wickedly.

    Lil’ Bitts – Booty Bounce
Performed by Shivonne “Lil’ Bitts” Churche
Written by Jovan James of Futuristic Jams, Clayton Wong of Nebula868, R. McDowall & Kasey Phillips
Produced by Fryktion Music & Precision Productions

  • STREETCRED RELEASE:RDX FOLLOWS THEIR MUSIC TO THE INDIAN OCEAN

RDX FOLLOWS THEIR MUSIC TO THE INDIAN OCEAN

RDX has made a conscious effort to remain in the island for the month of December to spend this festive season with their Jamaican fans and followers. Especially with new material including ‘Mr VSOP’ and Drink Symphony’ steadily making waves in the party circuit, Renigade of RDX thought it the best opportunity for the duo to spend some quality time with island fans.

“We are rarely in Jamaica for Christmas and the entire month of December by extension, so we decided to limit our performances to mostly local events this December. Our Jamaican Fans can look forward to seeing much more of us in the coming weeks all over the island” Renigade explained

“We enjoy partying all over the world and experiencing different cultures but Jamaican partying is different and it inspires the music of RDX” Delomar Added

With Tours of Canada, The Us and two tours of the UK; toppled with shows in the Caribbean and regions rarely travelled by Jamaican acts taking up majority of their artiste engagements in 2014, RDX is now ready to close the year in true Jamaican party form right here at home.

The Duo recently returned from three engagements in Mauritius and Reunion islands as well asthe Czeck Republic in Europe alongside Anthony B. These events were extremely important to the duo as they are only the second Dancehall artistes to perform in the majorly Indian populated Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.

Their performance in the French Speaking Reunion Islands was also special to the Duo as it took place at a club in the hills opposite one of Reunion’s 3 active volcanos. Their performance at the Lucerna Club marked RDX’s second time performing in the Czech Republic, the first happening at Hip Hop Kemp over two years ago.

RDX’s DJ and Producer Blaqk Sheep was also impressed with the reach of the Duo’s music globally “This was nothing normal, it’s closer to fly to Jamaica from Europe than it is from these islands. So to see the reach of RDX’s music, knowing how much work the man them put in, is a joy. Personally, I am proud to be a part of something so exciting & progressive.” Blaqk Sheep expressed.

Upcoming local performances for the Duo include ‘Drip’ in St Thomas on November 29 and ‘GT Taylor Extravaganza’ on December 25. RDX also recently released Videos for their Girls Anthem ‘Bum’ and thought provoking single ‘Hell’ on their RDX Vevo Channel on Youtube.

They are looking forward to releasing many more videos to start 2015, including visuals for newer releases ‘Mr VSOP’ and ‘Drink Symphony’. RDX is also looking forward to the release of their Soul Poetry Reggae Album in early 2015.

  • Marionettes’ Christmas Peace this 4-7 December

    Marionettes celebrates the festive season

Celebrating Christmas is a deeply rooted tradition globally. For loyal supporters of the Marionettes Chorale, it seems that attending the Choir’s annual Yuletide concert has now become a natural part of that tradition. This year from December 4 through 7 the Choir will present the concert series ‘Christmas Peace’ at Queen’s Hall in Port of Spain.

Still basking in the success of their mid-year production of ‘Les Misérables’, the award winning Marionettes will once again gather the talents of its adult, Youth and Children’s choirs to return to the stage for four nights of music, song and dance. Much to the singers’ credit and the audiences’ delight, it is a feat they have replicated almost consistently over the past 50 years.

The Chorale’s extensive repertoire comprises the genres of European Renaissance, Caribbean Folk, Calypso, Broadway and Opera music. Audiences can anticipate therefore an enjoyable mix of styles ranging from classical to gospel and familiar local and international Christmas favourites in a themed presentation.

Under the artistic and musical direction of Gretta Taylor, this year’s ‘Christmas Peace’ was conceptualised to convey the idea that if we focus our energies on cultivating a spirit of love, friendship and community in our own circles, we just might begin to experience a tangible difference in the world!

Supporting this holiday treat for the entire family are broadcast media partners Sweet 100.1FM, Talk City 91.1FM, CNMG and Flow Trinidad, along with Marionettes’ title sponsor since 1972, BP Trinidad and Tobago. Much of the proceeds of the concert series would be channeled into the Marionettes Property Fund – established to assist in the construction of a multi-use rehearsal and performance facility for the arts – and a much anticipated repeat of ‘Les Misérables’ scheduled for May next year.

Early bookings are recommended for ‘Christmas Peace’. Tickets go on sale Monday 24 November at the Queen’s Hall Box Office and from members. All patrons, including children and students with ID can take advantage of special ‘early bird’ discounts available on tickets purchased before 30 November.
