CALGARY, Alberta Monday – Following the announcement of an amazing performer line up last week, Calgary Reggae Festival offers major discount to early ticket buyers. Until 10:00 a.m., May 17, a limited number of tickets will be available online for 50% off the regular gate admission price.
ReggaeFest 2014 will feature the legendary Reggae Ambassadors, Third World, celebrating 40 years as one of the pillars of the genre, the ever exciting vocal quartet L.U.S.T., Canadian multiple JUNO award winner Exco Levi, and the soulful Reggae crooner Da’Ville backed by Toronto’s Mountain Edge Roots and Culture Band.
“With today’s technologies and fast pace musical environment, it is very easy to get caught up with the ‘popular’ and now. ReggaeFest has always strived to be the exception to Canada’s Summer Reggae Festivals,” says festival producer Leo Cripps. “While so many others go after the flavour of the month, we try to present to our audience a line up of performers that will forever leave them with a most incredible festival experience.”
From Jamaica’s new school of Reggae comes Raging Fyah. Long Shen Dao brings an authentic Reggae sound from Beijing China, and the sultry Belinda Brady will showcase the power of Canadian Reggae women. Grand Prairie’s Tasman Jude, Vancouver’s Buckman Coe and Calgary’s Infiniti and Uno Band round out the 2014 line up.
“ReggaeFest is Calgary’s festival and offering this kind of discount to some of its fans is our way of saying thanks for the support over the years.”
Transcending all racial, cultural and musical boundaries, ReggaeFest runs from August 14 to 16 concluding with the Mainstage event on Saturday, August 16 at Shaw Millennium Park.
2014 Super early bird tickets are on sale online only until 10:00 a.m., May 17.
